Today is Travis' 34th birthday! I can't believe he is really that old! Lucky for me I'll always be younger than him! :) Since school started life has been completely nuts! Travis is either at work, school or studying from 6:30 am to at least 7 pm. We miss him and are not especially fond of the new schedule (and we thought bishopric was bad!) but we're hanging right in there. Because of the crazy, new schedule and the tiny amounts of time that we get to spend with Travis, we decided to celebrate his birthday on Sunday. So here a few photos of the happy event.
The kids were especially excited to celebrate. Travis let each of them open a gift. Wisdom opened this photo book and wouldn't let go of it for the rest of the night, I think he thought it was his!
I made Travis his favorite: angel food cake with strawberries and REAL whip cream (no cool whip here). It has seriously taken me almost all 9 years of our marriage to get my whip cream to peak but this year it was the best ever! I was very proud of myself.

Hi Jana,
I just got caught up on your blog. It's hard to believe you MOVED!! Your new home looks great -- I love all the natural light, and your before and after pictures. I have to say, I almost cried with you about your kids having to start school soooo early! And poor Kindly, sounds like she had a rough start. Hopefully it's still getting better now. We're moving back to Caldwell, finally -- so sad you won't be there. We were hoping to have Spencer join your preschool group! Oh well. I'm sure you'll be back to visit sometime, right?
ps. Happy birthday to Travis... some of your gifts gave me some good Christmas ideas. :)
