The Butterfly Gardens

We decided to venture out and try out the Butterfly Gardens. It was a little spendy but a really neat experience.

Passion was pretty frustrated to learn that butterflies are least attracted to dark colors. She didn't have very many butterflies land near her. We did learn that Travis' white hat was very popular with the butterflies. Passion didn't hardly let it leave her head!

Kindly, on the other hand, had at least 6 butterflies land on her. It was so fun to be surrounded by so many butterflies and have them land on us.

Here the kids are standing still, waiting for butterflies to land on them.

I don't know that we'll visit the Butterfly Gardens again before we move but it was definitely worth visiting once.

New Years

We were so excited when BSU got selected to play in the Fiesta Bowl this year because that meant that we didn't have to spend New Years alone! Yep, two of my brothers and their families traveled to Phoenix to watch the big game. It was quick visits but so fun to see cousins and play for a couple of days. We went to the Mesa Temple lights and played nonstop!

Thanks everyone for coming! We had SO much fun!!!

Christmas 2014

We had a wonderful time spending Christmas Eve this year with my Aunt Leslie and her family. The kids acted out the Nativity and we did the traditional 12 days of Christmas song. The kids also opened their Christmas pj's there.
After checking the Santa Tracker, the kids loaded a plate with teats and carrots for Santa & the reindeer.
Here the kids are on Christmas morning looking for the pickle! The person who finds it gets to open the first present!
Christmas morning was filled with the usual joyful chaos. We loved it! I think everybody got what they wanted.

When you tired and you got a new Spider man blanket for Christmas, then it only makes since to take a nap (he was only pretending, Christmas morning is way too exciting for a nap!).

All of Kindly's reactions were so big this year. It was fun to capture them all on camera. And her adorable grin was cute too!

All tuckered out . . .

Merry Christmas!

November/December fun!

Passion finished her first season of with the city of Goodyear. She had a really awesome experience. Awesome coaches. An awesome team. And she learned a lot! Her Volleyball team won the Championship!
Here they are running in to celebrate just after they won the championship!

Kindly completed her first soccer season. She also learned a lot and had a lot of fun.
At her very first game she got to play in the rain! Never happens here! She had so much fun getting soaked. Here she is with her friend & teammate Alaina.
At Kindly's big end of the season tournament (Soccerfest) the kids got to see Santa and Mrs. Claus.
Another exciting event was that Kindly lost not one but both front teeth this month. And just in time to ask Santa for her 2 front teeth for Christmas!

So I have never really liked grapefruit at all. But when you can pull one off your tree and eat it that fresh, it is SO good. We only got about 10 but we have LOVED eating them. I think I'm addicted now. :)
