3 months of fun!

Jon and Breanne have officially left Arizona. As they left it spurred quite a bit of homesickness for us. It was really hard to say goodbye and know that we would be here all alone again. It's been a rough couple of days but I've really tried to reflect on how awesome the last 3 months have been. Besides seeing each other nearly everyday for the past few months and eating a lot of meals together, we also went on quite a few adventures together. So this post is dedicated to Jon, Bre, Olivia & Emma and all the fun times we had together this summer.

A Train Ride w/ Uncle Jon

 One of our first Saturdays together we went to the McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park. We had a lot of fun riding trains, playing with model trains, riding a carousel and picnicking.

Then we visited the Children's museum twice while they were here. On this occasion we had Ben & April and their kids with us too. It was so fun!

And of course we spent a ton of time swimming in the pool at Jon & Bre's apartment complex. We were their 4-5 times a week. Usually we swam in the evenings after it had cooled off a little (you know . . . to 105).

We also took a visit to the local Chocolate factory.

Jon & Bre and the girls were also here for our birthday month. So they celebrated all three times with us. I think we were all sick of cake by the end of the month! But we were so glad we had some family here to celebrate with us.

We took the kids to see Monster's University. They loved it!

We also spent the 4th of July in Sedona. We rented a house together and visited the Grand Canyon and Slide Rock State Park. It was so much fun! But that is a post in and of itself. We took a lot of pictures so I'll get those posted soon.

Just before school started and to finish up the summer we went to the Arizona Science Center. They kids had a lot of fun experimenting.

 The kids spent some time in our pool in the backyard. 

These two played like best friends and fought like siblings! It was so fun to watch them interact.

This was our last night together hanging out watching a movie. 

Thank you Jon, Breanne, Olivia & Emma for such an unforgettable summer! Even though we miss you so much, we are so grateful we had you so close to us for a few months. And we're looking forward to many more fun times together.
