I was feeling really guilty for not posting anything new on my blog for so long but then I looked at several other friends blogs and realized I wasn't the only one who has been distracted and busy during the past month. I've got a lot of updating to do and fun stuff to post so check back often.
November was a great month. We had a very nice Thanksgiving. The night before, I made us a turkey dinner with all the fixings so that we could have all the yummy leftovers. It was fun to have a fancy meal with just me and my family. Then on Thanksgiving day we had a nice meal with my aunt and uncle who live in North Phoenix. The meal was at my uncle's sister's home and it was delicious! I got to try a deep fried turkey. It was so good. I was glad we got to try it because it's not something I would ever make myself! After the meal we spent the rest of the evening at my Aunt & Uncle's home for dessert. Passion recently told me that Aunt Leslie's house is the only house here that feels like Grandma's. So sweet, we need to visit more!
Unfortunately (but as usual) I forgot to take pictures of Thanksgiving. I forget every year but I did get a few pictures of the kids opening their new Christmas ornaments the Saturday after Thanksgiving when we put up the tree and other Christmas decorations. We also got family pictures on this day hence all the curly hair.
Right before Thanksgiving the girls participated in an activity at school called the Turkey Trot. They raised money for each lap they ran around a course. Kindly got 8 laps and Passion got 24. They both had a lot of fun. Their ribbons say, "I survived the Turkey Trot". Thanks to everyone who donated to their cause!
About a week after Thanksgiving my mom came to visit. We had such a fun week together. We packed a lot in and made a lot of memories that I also failed to document with film. But we did take the kids to mall to sit on Santa's lap. I thought Wisdom would be afraid of Santa since both of the girls were at this age but he marched right up to him and told Santa he wants a fire truck for Christmas. Kindly asked for a dollhouse and Passion asked for a kitten but Santa proceeded to explain that he couldn't bring kittens on the sleigh so Passion told him to just pick something off of her list. Thanks Santa!
I absolutely love this time of year and am so grateful for everything I have. Even though I am away from so many dear family and friends and I wish I was in Idaho on a daily basis, I am so blessed to have all that I have. To be with my children and husband everyday and make such wonderful memories is the greatest blessing. I hope we all take the opportunity this season to remember all the wonderful things that God has blessed us with. Happy Thanksgiving & Merry Christmas!

What a fun tradition to give a new Christmas ornament every year--I've heard of that, but never of opening them up right after Thanksgiving. I really like that! Seems like a fun way to kick off the season :) I"m glad you had your mom come to visit, I bet she enjoyed the warmer weather for a bit :) I love the picture with Santa, especially with the back story. Everyone looks so excited, and poor Passion has a look on her face like, "Lame Santa....can't even carry a kitten in his slay for me...." ;) They are so cute! :)
