Disclaimer: you'll have to excuse my shirtless son throughout this post. He was really messy after dinner so we took his clothes off and well, we were lazy and they didn't make it on again (which kinda worked out for carving pumpkins). It wasn't until we had snapped most of the pictures that we remembered he wasn't dressed.
I'm not sure if major changes in my children's lives over the past few months has made them braver this year or what but NEVER before have we been able to get our kids to pull the slimy stuff out of the pumpkins. They're always super excited to carve pumpkins but once the top is cut off they won't touch the inside. So usually Travis and I end up scraping their pumpkins clean AND carving them.
Well this year though, they all just dug right in! I left the room for a few minutes and was amazed when I came back. Passion even carved most of her pumpkin herself. After she was finished I said something like, "Wow Passion! You carved like eighty percent of that pumpkin yourself." To which she responded: "No, mom, like ninety percent!" I guess we talk in percentages a lot around here. It must be all the statistics we've been studying.
The girls finally talked me into a Halloween party this year. They've been begging me for the past couple of years and I think I've put it off since I usually have a preschool Halloween party to throw. But this year I didn't have that excuse so tomorrow we'll be having a big Halloween party at our house with 14 kids ranging from ages 3-8. Wish me luck! I'll post pictures soon.

Cute, cute! Don't worry about the naked toddler, I found out quickly this year that no clothes is the best way to with a 2 year old. Can't wait to see pics of the Halloween party, you're brave!
Olivia just so nicely told me that wow... their pumpkins are better than yours mom! :) looks like lots of fun, and all your kids are getting too big too fast!
