We have a 1st grader!

Passion started school yesterday. It was sort of bitter-sweet. We were excited to see her grow up and experience new things but it was hard to let her go. I thought letting her go to kindergarten was hard but kindergarten was a breeze -- 3 hours is nothing! 7 hours seems like forever!!! But her first day went well and she was excited to go back today. I asked her if the day dragged on and on (like it did for me) or if it flew by. She said it flew by - I guess she's stronger than her mother!

Here she is in front of her locker just outside of her classroom door. Oh, and her teachers name is Mrs. Tomlinson.
The school district switched to a "strict dress code" (aka uniforms) this year. So here she is all decked out in her solid polo shirt and dark blue capris.
We woke up to weather in the 40's. It felt so cold especially since we haven't felt anything below 70 lately. The girls got buckled in the car to head to Passion's school but before we left they asked for a blanket. Here they are bundled in the backseat!

So I think Kindly is going through a growth spurt. She has been so sleepy lately and she never falls asleep anywhere besides her bed or her car seat. The other day I walked into the family room where she was watching Dora and I found her like this:

Wow, Passion looked like one our fifth graders standing next to lockers in that cute outfit! That's cool the uniforms are so cute :) I love seeing all the updates of your family--we're talking about driving out there the next time we both have a 3 day weekend (that's every weekend for Rob, and just a few for me!)

Looks like you guys had a BUSY summer! You packed in a lot... including a baby! Which I still can't believe I haven't met! He's such a cutie! We need to visit! Chad will be jealous of Charlie, he likes the terriers, he wants a yorkie!
