I have had this posting in "draft" format for almost two weeks now. Life has been a little abnormal lately and I just haven't gotten on my blog to finish this post so . . . I'm finally done. Soon after this trip to the pumpkin patch Travis Grandmother and Aunt passed away within days of each other. Hence the reason why this has taken so long. So . . . finally . . . here it is.
Last week we went to a local pumpkin patch as a family. We had a blast bundling up for the first time this season and finding pumpkins. We had a fun and cold hayride trip to the patch. The girls also got to see, pet and feed chickens, cows, lambs, and pigs. Both girls thought that was pretty cool. Kindly enjoyed the pigs until one of them nibbled on her hand. She wasn't very fond of them after that. I think we liked the lambs the best. They were so gentle and fun to feed. And they gave the girls tons of attention. Passion now wants a lamb for a pet! I think we're going to be making this a family tradition. We had a great time. Below is a photo of the girls with the chickens.
Here is a little video of the girls feeding the lambs and a photo of Passion petting one of them. The lambs loved the attention and the girls loved giving it to them.

Here is Kindly saying hello to a pig before it nibbled on her finger.

And of course the cows. They weren't very exciting because they wouldn't let us pet them but it was still fun to look at them.

And then of course there was the hayride. The girls both chose white pumpkins since we had never had one before and also because Grandma & Grandpa Hughes had already brought us a ton of orange ones from their garden.

What sweeties! Did you go to the patch out by Star? I took my kids to that one when we lived there. How sad to have had a pig nibble on your finger, especially for a one year old. I can just imagine her shock.
