February happenings . . .

I have been a month behind all year so maybe posting everything from February will help me stay up to date with March and the rest of the year. We had a really nice February and enjoyed comfortable but not too warm weather (although many people from here would complain that it was "too cold"). We planted a garden -- a really weird thing to do in February but exciting anyway.
The kids and I also took a trip to Idaho to visit much missed family and friends. Poor Travis was left behind to get school work done and he learned being left home alone is very lonely. He was very excited to welcome us back! Travis parents visited us right at the end of January and unfortunately for them it rained 3 of the 5 days they were here. We still had a fun time though and were so glad they came to visit. We have learned that every time someone comes to visit it brings a little bit of "home" to us and therefore a little homesickness after they leave!
We had a fun Valentines day that included a Valentines party at my parents home with all the cousins while we were in Idaho and of course, our traditional Valentines box. We opened it before school on Valentines morning this year right after some heart shaped pancakes. It was a fun way to start off the day.
Travis has finished the first half of the semester and we have been pleasantly surprised with how different this semester has been from the last one. We still don't get to eat dinner with him on the weekdays but he is home with us every Saturday (so far), I love that! The girls are doing well in school and enjoying getting to pull out the shorts again. Wisdom is continuing to potty train. He has his good days and his not so good days. The toughest thing is getting him excited about it each day and remembering to take him often. He has the ability to stay dry, it's just convincing him that he really wants to sit on the potty and go there instead. He's coming along though and only wearing diapers at night most days.
Overall life is treating us pretty good. We can't complain . . . we'll actually I can but I shouldn't so we're doing good. Here are a bunch of pics from the past month. Enjoy!
