Wow! Where did January go? Well I am finally just getting around to blogging about our Holiday festivities. So much has happened over the past month so I have a lot of catching up to do . . . so here I go!
Some of our pre-Christmas festivities/Celebrating the end of Travis 1st semester as a PhD student were attending Kindly's Kindergarten Christmas Concert (see pic below), our ward Christmas party, decorating cookies and a visit to the children's museum.
We discovered Christmas can be fun even if you are not with family! We spent Christmas Eve at my Aunt & Uncle's home with their family so the kids got some cousin time in there and really had a lot of fun. The kids acted out the nativity and Wisdom (being the only boy) got to be Joseph. And as you can see we have two Marys since two girls wanted to Mary. It was fun. Then we opened the traditional pajamas and this year I even got Travis a pair. He played right a long nicely and put them on for the picture. Then the kids wrote their note and left their cookies out for Santa.
Then came Christmas morning. We (well really just me) went quite overboard on gifts this year. I think I was trying to compensate for the lack of extended family time and ended up spending double what I usually do. But I had fun doing it and the kids loved it!
