We had a nice weekend away a few weeks ago but it is just taking me until now to blog about it. Travis' "adopted" brother Rob and his wife Beth blessed their sweet little baby girl Emily. We were lucky to be able to go. We also got to see other family that we hadn't seen in a while so it was a lot of fun!
We stayed in a sweet hotel room that had two rooms and a full kitchen. We actually got some sleep (which never happens in a regular hotel room). I don't think I'll be able to stay with kids in a regular room again. The kids loved swimming and the breakfast every morning. And the parents loved getting away!!!
When we first got to Salt Lake we visited Uncle Luis and walked around Temple Square. Here's Kindly with her buddy.
The kids thought it was pretty cool to look out over Temple Square. Wisdom kept saying "car car!" over and over since all the cars below looked like toy cars.
This picture was taken Sunday after the Emily's baby blessing in the foyer of the church. Kindly and Jaedyn became quick friends and were pretty inseparable!
Here's what Wisdom thought of the water a little later. When I tried to get him out a few minutes after this, he screamed and cried like he did when I tried to put him in. Crazy kid! You can't hear very well but after Wisdom jumps in he points to the side and says, "agin."
Our last day there we went to a nearby mall. There was a fun play area for the kids, a carousel that Passion decided to ride on and this cool train that Kindly, Wisdom and I rode on. Wisdom was sooooo excited! I have to admit that it was pretty cool. The train took us all around the mall (probably a 5-6 min. ride) and made real train sounds with a conductor and everything. What a cool idea huh?!
Here's what Passion and Emily did while we rode the train. Next we headed to the Carousel for Passion to get her ride in.
Thanks to Rob and Beth for hosting us and Chad & Angela and girls for making the trip down to play with us! We had so much fun! Until next time . . .

Looks like such a fun visit. And that hotel room looks soooo nice. I agree -- a suite kinda spoils me to regular hotel rooms forever! :) I love the vid of Wisdom jumping into the pool... Spencer used to do that, just the same way -- again, again! so cute!
Sounds like a fun little getaway. King sized beds are definitely worth it! We didn't discover the extended stay, loft style hotel until about the 4th trip to Seattle but after that we never looked back! It's SO much nicer when kids are involved to have the full kitchen, separate bedrooms - truly a sanity saver for us.
