Good News

Lately, it seems that a lot of great stuff has been happening to us. It may not seem so fabulous to the world but we think March has treated us pretty well. So here's a little good news from our lives!

After 3 years of racking up the therapeutic hours and then 2 months of studying , Travis passed his LCSW test on his first try! We were so grateful since we weren't looking forward to paying another $300 to take another test and now when Travis is home, he's actually home (not locked in the bedroom studying)! YEA!

For those of you that don't know (I didn't either) an LCSW is a licensed Clinical Social Worker. Previously Travis was a licenced Master Social Worker (LMSW) but now that he is Clinical he can practice therapy. After the test Travis joked that it was a lot of work for one little letter--you can say that again!

Some other great news is that Travis was also promoted at work so he is now a supervisor!

Wisdom is a pro at sitting up but lucky for us, not crawling yet! He also got his first tooth last week and then another one popped through a few days ago. Both on the bottom. It was a long week of shirts drenched in drool and very little sleep but it's finally in! Unfortunately I haven't been able to get a good photo of either of his teeth yet because after the first few times of showing us, he will not open his mouth! I guess he's sick of people pushing on his sensitive gums.
So instead, you get these cute photos! One night, Kindly was sitting next to Wisdom and he kept resting his hand on her shoulder. He did this for about 20 minutes (so there was plenty of time to get some good photos in).
Wisdom is now 9 months old! At his doctor visit he weighed in at 18 lbs. 7 oz. which puts him in the 17-percentile! Yea! He finally broke free of the one digits! He's also getting taller -- 27 1/2 inches (25%).

We had our school carnival this month. The girls had a blast and came away with some painted faces. Don't you just love Passion's impression of a cat!
The girls also earned new books at the book fair. They had been working really hard for a couple of months to get enough books read so they could pick out new ones. In the end Kindly had about 60 books read to her and Passion read more than 1800 minutes!

We have a new niece, London, who was born on March 13th! We can't wait to meet her, hopefully this summer (she lives in Canada) but we think she is adorable! She is the first of 4 nieces to be born this year.
She was 5 lbs. 13 oz. & 18 1/2 inches. Can you believe all the hair?
Here's a shot of my brother Ben, his wife April & their 5 kids!

It's finally warm enough to play outside! YEA! And we've been taking advantage of it! Charlie especially is excited to have some visitors in the backyard!
Here's a fun video of Wisdom. He sat and looked out the window like this for at least 30 minutes. Poor kid just wants to play outside!

Happy March to you! See ya next month!
