Passion's 1st day (part 2)

Passion had a really good first day of Kindergarten. She got off the bus pretty tired and hungry ("mom, they only gave us two crackers for snack!"). She didn't make any new friends yet but she already knew someone in the class so I think she stayed close to her. She said recess was fun but too short and that overall the day was a little boring (lots of rules to go over). The highlight of the day though was reading the Gingerbread Man story and making their own gingerbread men. Passion said she made her gingerbread girl with her hand up waving at her! Her teacher, Mrs. Lohse, took them home that night to bake them and then they got to eat them the next day.
Now that she has been to school for a week (sorry it took me so long to blog again!) she has made a few new friends -- Natalie with the short hair, the girl with the blue shirt and a boy named Gunnar. This week she has also gone to Music, PE, library and computer class. And she loved all of them. Her teacher taught her how to sign "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star and Passion can sing and dance to a cute song about a squirrel with a bushy tail (check it out below).
Passion's adjustment to Kindergarten has gone really smooth, Kindly on the other hand has struggled. She really misses Passion. I think mostly she doesn't like playing by herself or even being anywhere by herself. She has spent a lot of her mornings either dragging me around by the hand or crying because I'm busy. She is beginning to adjust though.

That is too cute! We use to sing that little squirell song back in 1st grade and "shake our busy tail" too :) Glad it's been good! Great blog!
